online forum from members of biodiesel community. It has extensive sections on appleseeds, including responses from people who have experimented w/different designs. It has some of the most technical sections on appleseed designs. This will be a great resource for my project.
Contains a kit for basic appleseed design, based on original with slight variations. Has an entire section on appleseeds with tons of photos of different designs. This is also a very good source
This website has the original design by girl mark. It has a photo of the design as well as a description. It will be useful for comparing the differences in the design I chose with girl mark's original design
graham laming's biodiesel reactor design, a reactor that uses really little water and condenses the methanol. It contains designs for this reactor and a description. His reactor is not technically an appleseed. Although it doesn't have anything about appleseeds, it should be helpful to learn about to make reactors more efficient.
Improved design from original appleseed design, offers model that is easier to assemble, operate, more environmentally friendly and more efficient. This page is very helpful.
A website with step by step instructions on the entire biodiesel process including appleseed designs. It has a good overview of appleseeds. Should be useful to help build my foundation

excellent book, great basic technical description of biodiesel. Describes the author's biodiesel set up and his design is too complex for me. Has great section on making biodiesel but the appleseed is not really mentioned. Overall, very helpful, gave me a great foundation.
Biodiesel : growing a new energy economy / Greg Pahl ; foreword by Bill McKibben.
Focuses more on biodiesel industries around the world, not very technical, contains section on biodiesel politics. Doesn't contain anything on building a reactor or making biodiesel. This isn't very useful for my project
Do it yourself guide to biodiesel : your alternative fuel solution for saving money, reducing oil dependency, helping the planet
Contains overview of biodiesl fuel. Has instructions for making small test batches, and larger batches. Explains how to design and build a processor. Also has section on testing biodiesel for quality and proper disposal of wastestream. It has been very useful so far.
Run your diesel vehicle on biofuels : a do-it-yourself guide
Contains extensive sections on biodiesel chemistry, reactors and processors, and making biodiesel. Within reactors sections, explains each aspect of reactor incluiding electricty, water, ventilation, materials, Appleseed reactors, and a UK design. Great resource
From the fryer to the fuel tank : the complete guide to using vegetable oil as an alternative fuel
Guide to making biodiesel, has entire chapter on building a biodiesel processor. contains sections on single tank processors, and a dual tank processors. However, instructions are to build simple reactor out of a 55 gallon drum. Has nothing on appleseeds. not as helpful as I initially thought
